Project Highlights

The San Francisco Mission Victorian Eclectic 2 Story Addition and Entire Remodel was designed for longtime residents of the vibrant iconic district. The San Francisco Planning Department  designated the home as a historic resource. The owner’s wishes reflected this throughout the project.  We kept the home’s historic essence while tailoring the project to their personal and eclectic design flair. A Tech executive and a professional consultant with an established family and a love of animals, a main goal was improving the flow of the dated floor plan to reflect their current lifestyle. The 2nd Story Living Space was given a more open floor plan.  The Kitchen was anchored towards the Rear Yard with an expansive folding window wall flooding the entire story with sunlight. Direct access to an expansive Roof Deck and Rear Yard was added. While opening the spaces, the distinct rooms were maintained. The existing interior detail was meticulously restored by the Owners. On the Ground Story, an existing expansive Garage with minimal height clearance was given the proper height to create a spacious workroom for craft and sculpture projects. We excavated and replaced the entire existing foundation to carry both the new and existing loads for the four-story Victorian and the Remodel Addition. The new Guest Bedroom and office are oriented toward the secluded rear yard. An expansive folding window wall opens to a Garden Patio where the Owner can host clients and practice their professional consulting. The bespoke project checked off all of their design wishes while creating a home unique to their lifestyle and personal design sensibilities.
